IN THE VOID
I generally don’t shoot in a studio environment. I’m so drawn to place and the characteristics of place that it’s hard to shoot in a place that’s a non-place. Nonetheless, there are times when that void of a blank studio backdrop makes sense. These are some of those times. I’m not sure they are a series so much as extrapolations of the place-based shots I do, just in a studio, so that the idea can be seen and contemplated in isolation.
